Who We Are

Olive Branch Fellowship is based on 2 Timothy 3:14-17:

"14 But you keep on in what you learned and were assured of, knowing from whom you learned,

15 and that you have learned from your childhood, the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to

salvation through belief in Messiah Yehoshua.

16 All Scripture is written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 so that that man of Elohim may be perfected, and complete for every good work.

At Olive Branch Fellowship, we embrace our grafted-in, covenant status as the Israel of YHVH (Gal 6:16).  We see ourselves as the wild branches of Romans 11, being granted-in alongside the natural branches (Rom 11:17-24; Jer 11:16-17) into the Olive Tree of Israel.

The natural olive tree is the covenant people of YHVH, beginning with the seed of the woman in B'rei'shiyt (Genesis) 3:15. The natural and wild branches share a common root and both take their nutrition and sustenance from this very old natural tree.  We, as wild branches, have been granted in, contrary to our nature, a nature that has been mixed with the ways of the nations. The organized Christian church has, for two millennia, cut herself off from her roots.  The modern church has instead, planted an entirely new tree.  This tree has rejected the fruit of YHVH's Feasts, His Shabbat, His Torah, His dietary laws, and even His Name.

Olive Branch Fellowship is focused on the restoration of the ways of our Creator to His people by teaching the Old and New Testaments from the language, culture, history, and the full text of the people who penned them. The New Testaments is crammed full of idioms, phrases, and concepts known to the observant Hew (Y'hudim) living in the time of Yehoshua's ministry, but unfamiliar to modern readers.  The Scriptures must be read through the eyes and minds of the culture in which they were written. â€‹â€‹â€‹

What We Believe
  • We believe that all humanity has sinned and fallen short of the glory of YHVH and that this is contrary to the initial intent of the Almighty Creator of the Universe who desires to have a covenantal relationship with His creation - beginning with Adam and Eve

  • We believe that the original covenant between YHVH and Adam and Eve was broken when they hearkened to the voice of the serpent, believed his lies, and violated YHVHs commandment not to eat of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

  • We believe that while mankind was initially created in the image of YHVH, subsequent to the fall that Adam begat sons and daughters in his own fallen image (Gen 5:3)

  • We believe that YHVH's plan and purpose to redeem and restore manind to covenantal relationship culminated in the grace of YHVH as manifested by the atoning, redeeming work of Yehoshua of Nazareth

  • We believe that by a living, justifying faith (and faith alone) - in prospect or retrospect in the sinless life, sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection of Yehoshua, that YHVH successfully opened the way of restoration to covenantal relationship with Him, resulting in eternal life in His restored Kingdom (the Testimony of Yehoshua)

  • We believe that the fruit of a living faith (that is, a faith that results in salvation) is manifested in a sanctified, set-apart (holy) life, guided by the Holy Spirit, that keeps the Commandments exemplified by the life of Yehoshua of Nazareth (keeping the Commandments of YHVH)

  • We believe that the Scriptures are inerrant and infallible, as interpreted through the contexts of history, culture, language, and text. As such, we utilize an exegetical methodology of studying and understanding the Scriptures. We reject and abhor filtering the Scriptures through the doctrines and traditions of men, particularly dispensationalism.
