Our congregation
At Olive Branch Fellowship every member is equally important. We trust that God is drawing to our congregation those who have the abilities, interests and gifts that would allow our church to carry out the work of the Kingdom of God. Our congregation includes people from a variety of backgrounds, but our membership is unified by our commitment to proclaim Christ's love and salvation throughout our various activities, workplaces, and communities.
Our pastor and family
Chuck Strong has served as pastor for Olive Branch Fellowship since the church began meeting in 2005. In addition to his responsibilities as pastor, Chuck works full-time at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia. Previously a psychology instructor and social sciences division director, he now serves NWCC as Vice President for Educational Affairs. He has been married since 1987 to Martha Crocker. Their daughters, Rachel and Laura, are students at OBHS.

Though OBF is their first church-planting venture since college days, Chuck and Martha have served churches in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi since the 1980's. Both are originally from Alabama, and earned degrees at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, (both earned M.Div degrees in 1991 and Chuck earned the Ph.D. degree in 1997). Chuck was called to Christian ministry as a young adult and was ordained by his home church, First Baptist Church of Bay Minette, Alabama, in 1987.

Prior to moving to Olive Branch to serve as church planter, the Strongs served at First Baptist Church, Senatobia, MS (1994-2005) where Chuck was Sunday School teacher, choir member and interim pastor; and Martha was church organist,education/outreach director, and worked with communiy ministry efforts. Having served previously as news editor for Tate County's weekly newspaper, Martha now works part-time as a substitute teacher for Desoto County Schools, and volunteers with choral and band activities at OBHS.

Our youth ministry
We are thankful to have Matt Marston serving as our youth minstry intern this summer! A recent graduate of Duke Divinity School (in Durham, NC), Matt earned his M.Div and has served serveral churches and communities through a varitey of ministries in North Carolina and Mississippi.

Matt met his wife Elizabeth while they were both students at Millsaps College in Jackson, Ms; she recently completed her master of social work degree at UNC-Chapel Hill and they just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary. (Matt is from Memphis, TN and Elizabeth is from Olive Branch).

Join us on Sundays, Wednesdays and beyond as Matt leads our junior high and high school students in weekly Bible studies and other fellowship, growth and service activities.
